Oodles Chinese opens Birmingham Restaurant amid expansion across UK
Oodles Chinese, one of the UK’s leading fast casual dining brands, has launched its first store in Birmingham creating over 20 jobs.
With two successful branches in the Midlands, the Ladypool Road location is part of an ambitious expansion plan across the UK.
In keeping with its theme, the decor of the 50-seater restaurant on 323 Ladypool Road, features interior inspired by its Chinese influence. The design also boasts an open-plan kitchen with live cooking so diners will be able to see their food being prepared.
The opening is part of a growth strategy for the Midlands targeting five more openings by 2020 creating over 100 new jobs.
Mohammed Umar, director, said: “We are delighted to finally open our first Birmingham location which is well overdue and definitely due to demand.
“We have created a warm, authentic, inviting design especially with a live cooking element so customers feel closer to the Oodles Chinese exp
rience of freshly prepared food as soon as they walk into the new restaurant.
“Our aim going forward is to really drive our expansion in the Midlands and want this Ladypool Road store to be the first of a long chain in the region creating jobs for the locality.
“We genuinely believe our concept of fresh and unique tasting food is something Birmingham has never experienced before.
“We chose Ladypool Road specifically due to the high footfall in the area and we already have a large fan base here.
“We are now actively looking for new sites and franchise partners in the region and across the UK to help us achieve our expansion plans.”
As part of its launch party, the restaurant held a 50% off promotion on all food. The event featured entertainment, local bloggers and special guests from the local business community including social media influencer Lord Aleem.
